da dobrowin: Angel di Maria has revealed that he wants to stay at Manchester United, but that playing regularly is important to him.
da supremo: The Argentine became British football’s most expensive player when he signed for the Red Devils from Real Madrid in a £59.7m deal last summer, while reports claim that the already eye-watering number is supplemented by £280,000-per-week wages.
Despite the money involved, Di Maria has largely been hailed as a flop following his debut season, with a significant dip in form over the Christmas period worrying.

He ended the campaign with 10 assists and three goals in league action, but by the time the season was at its climax the ex-Benfica man was very much a bench player, with Louis van Gaal seemingly favouring Ashley Young.
Reports have linked Di Maria with both Barcelona and Bayern Munich of late, but the player told Ole that his heart is set on staying at Old Trafford, although regular playing time is a big factor for him:
“No (I will not leave Man United), because I’m not thinking like that. In Madrid there were times when I was whistled around the stadium but faced it and then it turned around. I like to deal with things.
“Yes (I feel uneasy about my playing time) For me, and my family. Because not everything goes as I want, because I don’t play,
“Because I came with an intention and end up on the bench. It’s hard to tell how I feel there. I started well, with goals and assists. I was having a good time, until I was out. It’s a little hard to explain why I do not play.”
