da winzada777: Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell has mentioned to AFTV Massimiliano Allegri, Luis Enrique, Patrick Vieira and Mikel Arteta as potential candidates to replace Unai Emery.
What did he say?
Emery is certainly under pressure at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners have won just two of their last eight Premier League games, and there have been rumours he has lost part of the dressing room.

Campbell clearly doesn’t see him having much of a future in north London, and he has put forward his own shortlist for the role should it become vacant. He explained:
“I want Arsenal to progress and to be able to go and challenge. I don’t see it! So, I am calling out Unai Emery, right now because I am not seeing that. I think we’re regressing – In my opinion, Unai Emery, thanks for trying, but we’re going to go in a different direction.
“The board should be getting him out and getting in someone like an Allegri or someone of that ilk. Luis Enrique, I like Luis Enrique – people even mentioned Arteta. What about Patrick Vieira?”
Change of direction
It is interesting to note that the 49-year-old mentions a change of direction. It is hard to argue that’s what Arsenal need at the moment. However, hiring Allegri or Enrique would not really be much of a difference.

There does not seem to be too much to separate them from Emery. They have both been successful with previous clubs but don’t have any connection to England and Arsenal. The other two names muttered in the conversation do, and that’s where the change of direction should lie.
That being said, Arteta has not managed at a senior level at all which means he surely wouldn’t be ready to take such a big job with so little experience. That leaves just one man: Vieira.
The 43-year-old former Gunners captain would be a fantastic choice given his history at the club, and in hiring him, the club’s hierarchy would be drawing inspiration from Chelsea.
The Blues have hired big name after big name to take the manager’s role at Stamford Bridge and, although there has been success, there has often been an underlying tension.
That appears to have dissipated under former player Frank Lampard, and the players are responding, having won seven games in a row in all competitions.
Arsenal need positivity, and Vieira could have a similar effect on the side.
As we saw with the Granit Xhaka incident on Sunday, there is too much disillusionment amongst the supporters. A figure figurehead at the club like the former Juventus man would surely bring them together.
