da luck: Loads of Leeds fans have been giving their verdict on some comments from Under-23s coach Carlos Corberan, and they’re convinced the 35-year-old will be their next manager.
Corberan was named U23s boss last year, and after a terrific run of form the Portuguese tactician now has a first-team role.
Marcelo Bielsa’s arrival signalled the start of a new era at Elland Road, as Andrea Radrizzani looks to transform the club from top to bottom.
Corberan still works with the youth teams despite his new role alongside Bielsa with the first team, and he has been speaking about the link between the academy and senior side.
“The link between the academy and the first team is very important and maybe my philosophy of football is the same as Marcelo has too. We’re working all of us in the same direction,” Corberan said.

“Marcelo’s very focused on the academy and Under-23 level and he’s trying to develop a style which we appreciate a lot. The link between his philosophy and the philosophy of the academy is very positive.”
This process of linking the philosophies of different levels of the club will mean more and more academy products breaking into the first team, which of course fans will always love.
Lots of fans have also been impressed by Corberan, suspecting he may take over the reigns when Bielsa leaves.
Bielsa has never stayed at a club for more than two years, and at 63 he may be planning to leave once he gets the Whites promoted.
