da brwin： Arsenal are on the verge of signing Jack Wilshere to a new three year contract, according to reports in The Mirror.
da marjack bet： The veteran midfielder’s previous contract was set to expire in the Summer and talks had stalled on a new deal with the club initially asking the Englishman to take a pay-cut if he were to stay in North London.
But in the latest development revealed by Mirror Sport, Arsenal have improved their initial offer leading to a resumption in dialogue with Wilshere’s camp and negotiations are now believed to be in an advanced stage.
Outgoing Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has said he is ‘convinced’ Wilshere will stay.
“I am convinced, like I was always, that his future is here.
“It was always my wish and I think it will happen, yes.”
The England midfielder, 26, is the club’s second longest serving player after Aaron Ramsey, and there has been some speculation from fans about the club’s reasoning behind making Wilshere an improved offer with a certain few believing the decision directly affects the Welshman’s future at the club.
