da dobrowin: Out-of-favour Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has joined Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season, according to the Liverpool Echo.
da mrbet: What’s the latest?
It has been clear that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp does not see Sakho in his plans due to the defender not making a single appearance this season.
The Frenchman was a key figure in taking the Reds to the Europa League final last year, but after being suspended by FIFA in April 2016 for taking a banned substance, it has gone downhill.
The world governing body eventually dropped the case against him, but he breached team rules during the club’s pre-season tour and was sent home as a result.
Now, Sakho has been given a lifeline by Palace, who the Liverpool Echo claim will pay the Merseyside outfit a £2m loan fee and will cover all of the centre-back’s wages.
It was widely reported that the Reds wanted a permanent transfer and were holding out for a £20m fee, but it appears they have settled on a loan.

Is Sakho the right option for Palace?
The Frenchman put in some solid performances for Liverpool last season, but he was inconsistent.
The problem with Sakho is that he is guilty of erratic behaviour and can sometimes put his team in danger.
On the other hand, he has plenty of strength and will put his body on the line to clear the ball.
He is largely hit and miss, plus the fact that he has not had a single minute of action this season means that it could take him some time to settle into Sam Allardyce’s side.
The defender has also struggled with injuries of late, so Palace will need to keep an eye on his fitness.
