As Leeds United edge ever closer to achieving a return back to the Premier League for the first time since 2004, one former manager is struggling elsewhere and it’s fair to suggest that supporters are absolutely loving it.The Whites have moved to within one point of Championship leaders West Brom following the results at the weekend.Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday – led by ex-Leeds boss Garry Monk – are suffering dire form having won just twice in their last 13 league outings.Monk’s acrimonious departure from Elland Road evidently still doesn’t sit right with many in west Yorkshire after the 40-year-old resigned from his post in May 2017 just two days after Andrea Radrizzani purchased the club. The Athletic posted an article on the Owls chief on Sunday and fans have been replying in their droves. Here’s what has been said…
There have been reactions ranging from a sarcastic tone, saying it was a “terrible shame” and that it was gutting to see, to those labelling him with nicknames such as “bluffer” and “poisonous individual.”
One supporter even described the former manager as a “horrible bloke” for his comments since leaving the west Yorkshire side.

A couple of others directly called him out for being a “snake” too.
Monk has since gone on to manage Middlesbrough, Birmingham City and now Wednesday but he hasn’t been able to settle at a club for past a season in his managerial career.
More supporters believed the Owls boss dined out on the exploits of Chris Wood at the club after the striker netted 30 times in 48 appearances in all competitions.
Monk was also blasted for being arrogant and for being “terrible” at his job.
While the 40-year-old still currently remains in a job and it remains to be seen whether his future at Hillsborough is indeed in any doubt, one thing that is clear is that fans across the Yorkshire border would reserve no sympathy for him if he were to become unemployed anytime soon.
