da stake casino: Birmingham City boss Harry Redknapp has told talkSPORT that he would jump at the chance of signing Chelsea captain John Terry.
What’s the word?
da cassino online: The 36-year-old defender will pull the curtain down on a 22-year association with Chelsea at the end of the season.
Initially Terry claimed that he wants to continue playing elsewhere, but after scoring in Monday night’s 4-2 win over West Bromwich Albion, he told Sky Sports that he may even retire.
Redknapp, who recently signed a one-year deal at St Andrew’s, has claimed that he would be more than happy to sign Terry if the defender decides that he wants to prolong his playing career.
He told talkSPORT:
“[Signing Terry] would be a dream. I love John, I’m a great fan of his but I would think John would have a lot of big clubs, Premier clubs, after him.
“He would be fantastic, that would be a dream to sign John Terry. You’ve got a leader – what a man – I think he is fantastic still. That’s the dream but I doubt very much whether it would happen.
“I would love to speak to John and if he felt maybe he would like the idea of it for a couple of years and it was something that interested him then it would be fantastic.”
Is this a realistic move?
It is very unlikely. As mentioned, Terry has not ruled out walking away from the game completely, but if he does decide to stay on, it would be a surprise for him to drop into the Championship.
In recent history, most top players at this stage of their careers made the move abroad, with the likes of Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard competing in the United States.
Regular game time and a big financial package are the incentives, so it would not be a surprise if Terry jetted across the pond to end his career.
Dropping into the Championship is unlikely to be an attractive option for the defender, and from the club’s point of view, there would be questions over his ability given that he has started just five Premier League matches this season.
